Dogpatch Community Court, 2023

Patrick Martinez created a mural in the style of his Pee-Chee series to celebrate graduates from Alive & Free’s violence prevention and leadership programs. I created the center court script based on the original Pee-Chee logo. After much searching I concluded these letterforms were created by the artist, Francis Golden, and were not a commercial typeface. With only four unique letters and the only common letters being the lowercase “e” and “h” I had to apply some reverse engineering. 
The court was painted by Bay Area Mural Program (BAMP) and supported by Alive and Free and the Warrior Community Foundation.
The Dogpatch Community Court is located between 923 and 947 Minnesota Street.
